About the Collaborative Technology Innovation Program (CTIP)

CTIP is a two-phase program that supports research projects jointly funded by FIU (with a grant from the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation) and members of the Biomedical Engineering Partnership Program (BMEPP). In phase I, FIU provides five $10K grants to be matched, as a minimum, by the BMEPP partner to create a funding source of $20K or more for the joint project. Upon successful completion of phase I and in the following year, participants of CTIP phase I are eligible to apply to CTIP phase II to augment the project. Phase II provides one $50K grant to be matched by the partner organization to fund a one $100K project.
