MISSION
The Partnership Program is a joint enterprise
of FIU, healthcare providers, and biomedical
companies. It fosters excellence in biomedical
education and training; supports biomedical
innovation, invention, and discovery; cultivates
biomedical research and development; and promotes
biomedical engineering entrepreneurship in
South Florida.
Purpose:
To
provide advice and guidance for the overall
direction of research and education
at the Department of Biomedical Engineering
(BME).
To contribute to and participate in the training of the next-generation biomedical
engineers, scientists, and researchers.
To foster cooperation and collaboration between industry, clinical-medicine
and academia.
To promote education, research and development leading to innovation, invention,
and discovery in the delivery of medicine.
To secure funds in support of its mission.
To support its members, their prosperity and growth.
